Entrepreneurs have until October 8, 2010 to submit their application

For 13 years now, the Angel Investors Challenge allows young Québec entrepreneurs to present their business project to a room full of experienced and influential private investors.

In 2010, the Challenge’s new structure will accompany 12 semifinalists through coaching and training, providing knowledge that will serve them well after their participation in the Challenge is over. Furthermore, it will give the 8 companies selected as finalists better chances to distinguish themselves from their competition during the Angel Investors private event.

Profile of Applicants and Their Companies

The Angel Investors Challenge is for entrepreneurs:
- 18 to 40 years old;
- Originating from any business sector, as long as the project corresponds to the profile of the companies sought-after;
- Developing ventures in seed, start-up or development phase, and located or operating in Quebec;
- Looking for $50,000 to $1M to launch or expand their business.

Their companies correspond to those that:
- Have a high innovative component (technology, business model, or other);
- Target a significant market potential;
- Have a strong growth potential;
- Offer a differentiated solution to distinguish the company from the competition;
- Have the ability to establish strong barriers to entry;
- The product/solution provides significant added value to clients.
