“I fitted” nowhere. I've never been happy working for someone and also, when I feel that something needs to be optimized, I can not stand idly by.

Questions to Charles-Étienne Simard

What motivates you and makes you wake up in the morning?

We want a world in which buying experiences online and face-to face are unified. It's time to give businesses the tools to compete in a market that is changing rapidly. It's by helping our companies to adapt and to evolve, which gives us wind beneath our wings.

What brought you to entrepreneurship?

For the team, it was a natural response to our desire to innovate and move quickly. We prefer to resolve problems than waiting for someone else to do it for us.

What assets do technologies bring to retailers? How do technologies innovate our consumer behaviour?

Retail is a pillar of the economy, both here and world-wide. It is essential to acquire all possible technological tools to adapt to the changing nature of consumption habits. Leav helps businesses just to meet these new expectations by being the bridge between the physical and digital storage. The technology therefore helps us to find simple solutions to complex problems. In our case, it automates recurring tasks to spend more time on high-value tasks such as consulting and sales.

Questions to Christopher Wells

What motivates you and makes you wake up in the morning?

It’s really the desire to help the restaurant industry. It’s an industry that I love and have given me so much for many years. It is very empowering to have an impact for all the artisans who work there in order to provide memorable experiences to their guests.

What brought you to entrepreneurship?

I needed to work for myself, to create something from scratch that is useful to society.

More than ever, business managers want to have control over their management and purchases. Gone are the days when a supplier would ask you to call Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. to place your order. Now, operators want, and even demand, more control and flexibility from their suppliers.

Making sure independent retailers should have the ability to offer personalized, high-value support to their customers whether in a store online, or between both worlds. To shift the understanding of commerce from anonymous transactional consumption to sustainable human relationships.

What brought you to entrepreneurship?

With my partner, we like to build to solve problems. Entrepreneurship seemed to be the most effective solution to the challenges traders through QuoteMachine, be close to them and dynamic, in a field that evolves extremely quickly.

What assets do technologies bring to retailers? How do technologies innovate our consumer behaviour?

In this context, we believe in creating more personalized, human connections. As more buyers are concerned with value-aligned purchasing, there is an increased demand for information about the products’ history: Who are you buying from? How was it made? What does it contain? Consumers are no longer just buying products, they’re buying stories. We are enabling retailers to share these stories and their expertise in a very human way.
